Enhancing Clean Cooking in Uganda
About the Project
The Enhancing Clean Cooking in Uganda project is a transformative initiative under the SEE - Clean Cooking Higher Tier Cooking Component (HTCC) Uganda. This project is designed to accelerate the adoption of clean cooking solutions across Uganda by strengthening governance, raising awareness, and advancing policy advocacy.
Uganda aims to reduce biomass dependency from 88% to 50% and increase clean cooking adoption from 15% to 50% by 2030, in line with its Third National Development Plan (NDP III) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). This project plays a crucial role in achieving these targets by promoting modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly cooking technologies.
